  25.  Folks this is no joke.  On Friday the 24th I was watching the NASA
  26.  channel on cable TV to see how the experiments and crew were doing.
  27.  The men onboard needed to send instructions to the experiments in
  28.  the cargo bay and were using a laptop to do it.  As some of you may
  29.  have heard, there was a "computer problem" onboard as reported by
  30.  CNN.  The exchange of information between the crew and the Johnson
  31.  Space Center (JSC) went something like this:

  33.  Crew:  I can't get a DOS prompt
  34.  JSC:   Press C: enter
  35.  Crew:  No response
  36.  Crew:  I am not familiar with this, but am with DOS
  37.  JSC:   What screen are you looking at?
  38.  Crew:  Program Manager, Accessories and other icons
  39.  JSC:   Double click the negative sign in the upper right
  40.         of the Window
  41.  Crew:  That's the problem, it didn't load the mouse
  42.  JSC:   Press Alt-Esc
  43.  Crew:  Negative.
  44.  JSC:   Stand by, we will replicate the problem down here
  45.  Crew:  Roger.
  46.  There was a long pause.
  47.  JSC:   Double click the DOS icon
  48.  Crew:  I don't have a mouse
  49.  JSC:   Go to backup
